Healthy Eating for Successful Living – Troy: April 27, 2013 (six weeks)

This program focuses on heart and bonoe healthy nutrition strategies to help maintain or improve participants’ wellness and independence and prevent chronnic disease development or progression.  This is an educational and hands-on program.  Workshop topics includes:  

  • Week 1:  My Plate, Guidelines, Label Reading and Exercise
  • Week 2:  Grains, Vegetables, Fruits, Water and Exercise
  • Week 3:  Meat, Eggs, Legume, Milk and Exercise
  • Week 4:  Fats, Sweets and Exercise
  • Week 5:  Applying Our Skills – Grocery Shopping
  • Week 6:  Puttig It All Together – Meal Preparation
