Asian Center – SE MI has teamed up with Walgreen to offer flu shots in the fall every year for underserved Asian Americans. This service is mostly for those who don’t have insurance coverage and those who don’t speak well English. There are always bilingual community health workers on site to offer language help. Walgreen also have vouchers for those who have no insurance coverage. These events usually take place in churches, temples, community centers or special event locations. It varies every year, depending on various community activities and needs for that year. For people who are interested in taking the advantage of this convenient service, please call our Center (248-227-4374) around late August and early September to find out dates/locations for current season.
